About

Casa de Los Gigantes was founded by Siggy Bagataile almost 30 years ago with the mission to create innovative handmade goods that bring together modern designs and ancestral techniques. Casa de Los Gigantes believes that creating sustainable opportunities built on collaboration and innovation is the most effective way to ignite social change and that adapting ancestral techniques to modern life is the best way to preserve Guatemala’s rich cultural legacies.

The partnerships in Casa de Los Gigantes artisan network help end the cycle of poverty by providing financial stability to talented artisans and their communities. At the same time, their special products preserve Guatemalan traditions that have been passed down for generations and bring warmth and humanity to the world. In their collaboration with Noonday, they have focused on transforming upcycled huipiles(traditional embroidered garments) to create beautiful accessories.
